Description
The Admiral Trailers road base features a straightforward design that belies its impressive performance.
Recognized as the gold standard in the dinghy community, Admiral Trailers are manufactured in the UK. With a galvanized steel chassis, you can trust that you’re getting a high-quality product built to endure. Why settle for anything less when it comes to transporting your treasured boat?
Key Features:
- Axle: Torsion-style rubber suspension beams are not ideal for lighter dinghies, as they require a heavier load to function effectively. Instead, the Alko soft bump axle provides a superior alternative. While it may come at a higher price, its unique design allows it to perform well with lighter loads.
- Lights: The forward-facing lights are positioned just inside the edges of the mudguards, offering a reassuring focal point while towing, especially in low-light conditions. The use of LED bulbs means you won’t have to worry about replacing burnt-out lights.
- Adjustable Trolley Location Pin: This feature allows you to transport various lengths of launching trolleys:
- The 220 road base accommodates boats ranging from 10 to 12.5 feet.
- The 250 road base is suitable for boats between 10 and 15 feet.
- The 275 road base supports boats from 13 to 16.5 feet.
Optional Upgrade:
- 10-inch Wheels: For infrequent trips to the sailing club, the standard 8-inch wheels will suffice. However, if you plan to travel longer distances, whether for cruising or participating in events, the 10-inch wheels are a worthwhile investment, providing a smoother and quieter experience for both you and your dinghy.
All trailers come equipped with a mast support, lighting board, and lighting arms. Standard short lighting arms are included for mounting the lighting board when the road base is being towed without a boat. When loaded, the lighting arms can be stored on the trailer, allowing the lighting board to be attached to the stern of the boat as usual. If needed, longer 2.5-meter lighting arms can be provided at no extra charge—just let us know when you place your order.
The standard lead time for trolleys and trailers is 3-4 weeks. Due to the size and weight of the trailers, we do not offer shipping, but we can arrange delivery throughout the UK for an additional fee.
